From Barry Shaffer - The core performance indicator targets for FY 2007 have been posted. This table shows a steady improvement in mandated ABE results over the past five years. Programs appear to be diligently reviewing their local results and finding ways to improve outcomes – CONGRATULATIONS!

Our targets for FY 2007 are only slightly higher than our actual system performance in FY 2005, so we feel that we (the MDE-ABE office) did a pretty good job in the “negotiations” process with the federal office. We are confident that the FY 2007 targets are not too much of a stretch for our system. I want to thank Todd and Anne Marie in particular for their work with the target negotiations and their work with helping the ABE field understand the purpose, mechanics, and value of the NRS system.
